Hydrogen peroxide, 34%, Technical grade, is the simplest peroxide, a strong oxidizer that appears as a clear, slightly viscous liquid. Its strong oxidizing properties are so strong that it is considered a highly reactive oxygen species. The concentration of hydrogen peroxide is corrosive to skin. Uses include as a bleaching agent in science demonstrations such as “elephant’s toothpaste” and with luminol in chemiluminescence reactions.
