Mercuric Chloride is also called Mercury Bichloride or Mercury Chloride. It appears as a white powder and is odorless. Soluble in water, alcohol, ether, pyridine, glycerol, and acetic acid.
Some uses are in the manufacture of calomel and other mercury compounds, disinfectants, organic synthesis, and as an analytical reagent.
